Top 10 Reasons to Plan Your Same-Sex Destination Wedding in Las Vegas
10) It’s easy to get a marriage license.
There are no blood tests or waiting periods – it’s almost hassle-free! You and your partner can just appear before a clerk at a Marriage License Bureau location with a valid photo ID and birth certificate or social security card.
9) You don’t have to wait.
If you and your partner are so enamored with each other that you just can’t wait
to tie the knot, the good news is you don’t have to! With all the venues for Las Vegas gay weddings, it’s easy to book. Even on short notice.
8) Cheap airfare.
Unlike many destination-wedding locales, flights to Sin City are very affordable. Especially if you plan a few months out or come during the slow seasons such as late summer and December (just avoid coming during NFR or near New Year’s Eve).
7) Speaking of cheap, weddings are also very affordable!
The average wedding costs – get ready for this – $27,000. If you and your partner don’t feel like spending what you made as a starting salary for your first “big person job” on your wedding, Las Vegas is just the place for you. Many wedding packages start at just a few hundred dollars... like some of our packages for Tropicana LV Weddings.
6) You can manipulate your guest list.
You know those people you should invite but you don’t want to? Having a destination wedding can help you rule out those unwanted guests. Conversely, your workaholic friends (who might otherwise have missed the ceremony) may actually take some time off of work to come to your wedding if it’s in Las Vegas!
5) Chance to get away.
It’s not just your workaholic friends that need to take time off – you do too! When was the last time you and your partner went on a getaway? Gay weddings Las Vegas style can go any way you like, from quiet and romantic to rowdy and over the top. Take your pick.
4) Themed ceremonies.
Need we say more? You can get married by Elvis! If that’s too cliché (we think so too), you can get married by a rock star. The former frontman of Rough Cutt and Quiet Riot, Paul Shortino, is now doing weddings. But only in Las Vegas.
3) Time is on your side.
Forget New York – Las Vegas is truly the city that never sleeps! You and your partner can say “I do” any time of day or night (unless you get married by Paul Shortino… then it has to be prior to 6pm on performance nights).
2) Have it all in one place.
From your engagement to bachelor/bachelorette parties, wedding ceremony, reception and honeymoon – you can do it all in this city in one weekend!
1) Location, location, location.
Chapels. Gardens and pools. Hotel balconies. Banquet halls. It is next to impossible to come up with a good estimate of how many places you and your partner could exchange your vows in Las Vegas. What we can
do, however, is give our personal recommendation for the best same-sex reception venue – the Havana Room™
. (Okay, it’s the best venue for all weddings and receptions, but for purposes of this list, we’re focusing on it for same-sex weddings). Instead of telling you why it’s the best, we’re going to let the picture speak for itself.
