Statement by mike thoma, assistant general manager, on the reopening of tropicana las vegas®

As we continue to open up more amenities across the property we remain focused on the health and safety of our team members and guests alike. To that end we continue to follow the latest guidelines as put forth by the CDC and the State of Nevada regarding capacity and distancing restrictions for all of our venues. The latest protocols include, but are not limited to the following:

HEalth & Safety

On May 13, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued updated guidance that fully-vaccinated individuals do not need to wear a mask/face covering in most indoor and outdoor locations. On this same day, Governor Sisolak incorporated the updated CDC guidance into Directive 045 and announced that vaccinated individuals in the State of Nevada are no longer required to wear a mask/face covering.

In accordance with these new guidelines, effective May 15th at 12:00p.m., guests and team members who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask/face covering while on property. In general, people are considered fully vaccinated: 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines; or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Guest and team member safety remains a top priority. Guests and team members may choose to continue using masks/face coverings based on their personal health concerns. We hope that everyone who visits the Tropicana Las Vegas respects this choice.

We are grateful for the overwhelming support, patience, and understanding from our customers through these unprecedented times.
